Podere Bellani is situated between forests and hills, because of the absolute silence, the busy live of the city seems to be far away. Yet the wonderful Tuscan city Siena is only at 13 km. distance.

The farmhouse, which has been recently restored, is very suitable to let for a larger group or for families. The farmhouse can be separated into two spacious houses. Such as in many Tuscan farmhouses, people used to live on the first floor and on the ground floor where the stables. This is also the case in Podere Bellani, only here they don't use the stables anymore. There is a separate wash-house with a washing machine, you can use this for free. Both houses are authentic and comfortable furnished. The rustic beam ceilings, the cosy living rooms and the beautiful view makes your holiday complete!

Spacious living cum dining room with a kitchen and an open fireplace. Kitchen fitted with a gas-cooker, oven and refrigerator. Television is available. One bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with three single beds. On request there can be made a double bed out of two single beds. One bathroom with a fitted wash-basin, shower, toilet and bidet.
Exterior:
In front of the entrance of the house is a cosy covered terrace with garden furniture. The house has the disposal of a large garden and a swimming pool with garden furniture. The beautiful situated swimming pool (5 x 10 m.) is opened from 01-05/15-10. There also is a barbecue available.
You can reach this small paradise via a beautiful route through the forest, via a not asphalted but very well passable road of about 1,5 km.
Activities and tourism:
Besides the beautiful city Siena (13 km.) with her many churches and pleasing squares the ancient village San Gimignano is also a real must. This village is not so big (it counts only 7500 habitants), but is special because of its many towers. There where build 72 towers, there are now only 15 of it left. Arezzo with her beautiful square, each first Sunday of the month there is an antique market, is also worth visiting.

Italy lies between the Alps, the Ionian Sea and Tyrrhenian Sea. This peninsula is -favourable for tailor-made holidays. It is a dreamland for lovers of art and -history, and also for sun seekers who will find bathing resorts -offering long sandy beaches with good infrastructure and modern facilities. The mountainous regions encourage nature lovers, walkers and mountaineers to plan and enjoy their own holidays.
Eating and Drinking
Each region takes pride in its own specialities. It is recommended to travel into the hinterland, away from tourist resorts in -order to taste all the different foods. In restaurants, you have to generally order a full course menu. For snacks, a trattoria, or -pizzeria can fulfil your appetite. Lunch is served between 12 noon and 2 pm, dinner from 7:30 pm. Service is included in the bill, but it is common practice to leave a supplementary tip. When leaving the -restaurant, you should keep the bill and receipt for up to 500 m from the restaurant, or else in case of a police control for fraud, you are liable to a fine of up to EUR 1,000.
Travelling by Car
The motorways are toll roads. On entering the country, at the border, you can purchase a pre-payment card that can be used at all the tollbooths. This will save you from constantly looking for small change. The speed limit is 130 km/h on motorways, 110 km/h on the "superstrada" (fast lanes), and 90 km/h on departmental roads. Seat belts are obligatory. Any violation of the law will entail a heavy fine.
