Wildly romantic, with fabulous views of the sea and the island of La Maddalena, this rustic-style house is situated amidst the Sardinian Macchia - the characteristic scrub woodlands of the Mediterranean coast. Numerous bays with long white sandy beaches are just 3 km away. The interior of Nido di Cuculo is extremely tasteful and has been decorated with great attention to detail. The spacious terrace is reached from the upper floor and directly below is the 9 x 4 m swimming pool. There are unique views from the bedroom, which opens directly onto the terrace. Both floors have a living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Therefore this house is especially suited for two couples who want to spend their holidays together but still want to enjoy their privacy. Here, there is also is a romantic courtyard with views of the sea. The tourist centre of the Costa Smeralda are just 15 km away. The famous yachting harbour of Porto Cervo and the unique golf course of Pevero are easily reached in just a few minutes by car. It is about a 45 min. drive from the airport of Olbia to the house. You will have ample opportunity to sample the local Sardinian delicacies in the surrounding area/immediate vicinity, where you have a choice ranging from rustic fisherman's taverns to elegant restaurants.

Eating and Drinking
Each region takes pride in its own specialities. It is recommended to travel into the hinterland, away from tourist resorts in -order to taste all the different foods. In restaurants, you have to generally order a full course menu. For snacks, a trattoria, or -pizzeria can fulfil your appetite. Lunch is served between 12 noon and 2 pm, dinner from 7:30 pm. Service is included in the bill, but it is common practice to leave a supplementary tip. When leaving the -restaurant, you should keep the bill and receipt for up to 500 m from the restaurant, or else in case of a police control for fraud, you are liable to a fine of up to EUR 1,000.

Travelling by Car
The motorways are toll roads. On entering the country, at the border, you can purchase a pre-payment card that can be used at all the tollbooths. This will save you from constantly looking for small change. The speed limit is 130 km/h on motorways, 110 km/h on the "superstrada" (fast lanes), and 90 km/h on departmental roads. Seat belts are obligatory. Any violation of the law will entail a heavy fine.
