Description

This large and very comfortable holiday house lies in the annex of a castle which is situated in the higher part of the Ardennes between La Roche and Baraque de Fraiture. From the house you can make wonderful walks in the hilly and forest surroundings. From a few footpaths you can admire bison's which walk on the domain. In the near surroundings there are lots of activities you can do such as; walking, mountain biking, horse back riding, kayaking, skiing etc.. Other activities are among others the brewery of Achouffe, ruins of the castle de La Roche.

Interior:
Ground floor:
Entrance hall, large living room with open fireplace and satellite television/DVD, large dining area, large practical kitchen, second small living room, two toilets.

First floor:
Two bedrooms with two king size beds and a bathroom, two bedrooms with two king size beds and a bathroom, toilet, fitted wash-basin between the bedrooms, one bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom, fitted wash-basin, toilet, one bedroom with a single bed. Two separate bathrooms each with a bathtub, toilet and fitted wash-basin. Separate toilet.

Surroundings:
The house lies on an extensive domain in a quiet surrounding. You have access to a wooden terrace of 28 m2 with garden furniture and a barbecue. You have also access to the garden of 500 m2, which is partly fenced.

Special remarks:
- In winter or bad weather you'll be advised to take warm clothing's with you, because it can be very chilly in the castle.
- It is possible that the dogs of the owner walk on the domain (nice dogs).
- There are several lakes on the domain. Parents watch your children very well.
- In case of snowfall, snow chains are necessary.

Our holiday houses are especially fitted up on receiving families. In the past there were unfortunately damages caused by groups with another composition then a family. That's why groups can only be allowed after consent of the owner.

Driving
Belgium has a vast network of motorways and secondary roads. Most motorways are lit at night. In built-up areas and villages, the speed limit is 30 to 70 km an hour, while the limit is 70 to 90 km an hour on secondary roads and 120 km an hour on motorways.
In addition, it is illegal to use a hand-held mobile phone when driving. Finally, seat belts must be worn in the front and rear of the vehicle.
