Description
This country-like house is very pleasing, situated in the wonderful hilly surroundings of "Pays de Herve", nearby Flanders, the Netherlands and Germany. The National Park the High Meres lies at a distance of 25 km. Herve is known of its beautiful landscapes, the famous apple- and pear-syrup, the cider and the beer-monastery.

The house lies at a beautiful domain with private garden and garden furniture, barbecue and playground for the children. The house lies at 300 m. from the centre of the village Aubel. The region offers lots of walking and cycling possibilities.
The owner lives across the house and offers you free entrance to the private lake where you can go fishing.
Interior:
Ground floor
Entrance hall with hat stand, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, salon with open fireplace and television/DVD.
First floor
One bedroom with a double bed and a baby bed, one bedroom with three single beds, one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. One separate bathroom with a fitted wash-basin and toilet. One bathroom with a shower, fitted wash-basin and toilet.
Exterior:
Quietly situated at 300 m. from the centre of the village. Private garden with garden furniture, barbecue, swing, sand-pit. Access to the fish-pond of the owner (no extra charges), which lies in the back of the domain. (You have to bring your own fishing-gear).
Special remarks:
On the domain is a pond with a depth of 30 cm. and a lake of 2000 m2 (depth 1.50 m.) which are not fenced.

The village Aubel with his market on Sundays: 300 m.
Abbey and restaurant of Val Dieu: 5 km.
The fortress of Battice: 8 km.

Finally, no list of Belgian gastronomy would be complete if we did not mention the hundreds of Belgian beers to be enjoyed, as well as the huge choice of cheeses to be found in Belgium.
Driving
Belgium has a vast network of motorways and secondary roads. Most motorways are lit at night. In built-up areas and villages, the speed limit is 30 to 70 km an hour, while the limit is 70 to 90 km an hour on secondary roads and 120 km an hour on motorways.
In addition, it is illegal to use a hand-held mobile phone when driving. Finally, seat belts must be worn in the front and rear of the vehicle.
